I grew up in chaos in the middle of Fort Collins, Colorado. Three sisters, four dogs, two cats, a giant fish tank, school and sports all mixed up by the best parents four girls could hope for, formulated a madness that yielded my most cherished memories. And all I cared about was keeping those memories locked in my head and my heart forever. So, realizing how the camera worked, I picked up my mother’s simple dslr when I was young and started off. Though those early images mean nothing to anyone except my family, especially considering the more-than-amateur composition and focusing, they were a start to my career.
Today, I focus on creating imagery that calls to me in similar ways to my first pictures. Truthfulness, sincerity, and authenticity make a common thread in all my work. Attending the Savannah College of Art and Design to achieve my BFA in Commercial and Documentary Photography, I have used my skills in both concentrations to make my fashion and editorial work feel deeper and more candid. I enjoy creating more commercial-minded work utilizing real and authentic models that allow for the everyday consumer to see themselves in the image.
Outside of photography you can find me hiking, at a ceramics studio, or doing quite nearly anything with my family and friends. I like my coffee iced with coconut milk and no sugar. My favorite color is red and I love tofu more than the normal person.
I live in Brooklyn, but boy oh boy do I love to travel. ;)
